https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=279773 Bug ID: 279773 Summary: libc.so.7 rebuilt but libc.a is not Product: Base System Version: CURRENT Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: misc Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: bz@FreeBSD.org When doing incremental rebuilds of world with -DNO_CLEANDIR -DNO_CLEAN after changing a file of libc, libc.so.7 is being rebuilt but libc.a is not. This is very confusing to get different results depending on whether you link -static or not. I assume it is a general build framework problem beyond libc, that's just where I noticed it in the obj directory when trying to link -static to libc.a from there. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.help
