Generally uname -apKU should show matching numbers at the end (the KU part), for example: 1300036 1300036 . (The U is for User instead of Kernel as I understand.) When they are not the same is takes more detail about the differences to know what specifics to expect. It can vary widely, from mostly operable to failing to finish booting. Still, that it did boot is rather good evidence.
