I think this is a great idea. 2) discrepencies - we don't use make(1) builds by default yet, we should. 4) wish list - become the means to build the official release boot disks. 6) volunteer - I can volunteer my time to committing and documenting, and to making the build 'obj' and make(1) friendly.
