https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D270884 Bug ID: 270884 Summary: Enable vCD OS Guest Customization Screen Product: Base System Version: 13.1-STABLE Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: bin Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: stevefxp@gmail.com Created attachment 241533 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D241533&action= =3Dedit Screenshot of vCD OS Guest Customization Screen I am using a provider's VMware vCD environment to deploy virtual servers, a= nd ont I am working with is OPNsense 23.1. When I build a vm with their image = the OS Guest Customization edit button is greyed. I then tried to build a vanil= la FreeBSD virtual machine and it too has the edit button greyed out. Not having OS guest customizations does not allow me to transition guest updates to the vm. For example I have a DHCP IP for the public side of the OPNsense VM. This works just fine without guest customizations, but if I wa= nt the DHCP IP to be pulled from a static pool that is defined within vCD then thats where guest customizations comes into play. The vm will reboot, and t= hen apply the guest customizations that are enabled for it. I have tried installing the VMware Open VM Tools package but this still does not enable the edit button. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
