I have
jdk-1.5.0.12p6,1
built from source using the diablo package as a bootstrap.

at the time i needed
CFLAGS=-O2 -fno-tree-vrp -pipe
in my make.conf, not sure if i still would though.

I have the package for it somewhere although I dont think i'm allowed to
distribute it ;)
