When script(1) receives an end-of-file on the outside, it should somehow send an end-of-file to the process running on the inside. This isn't possible with pseudo-terminals. There isn't a function like shutdown(2) that can be called on a pseudo-terminal master to stop the flow of data in one direction. Normally you would just call close(2), but this means you can't receive any output from processes on the inside. --=20 Ed Schouten <ed@80386.nl> WWW: http://80386.nl/ --Fba/0zbH8Xs+Fj9o Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (FreeBSD) iEYEARECAAYFAkqRqxQACgkQ52SDGA2eCwVK0QCfSyiIoq55QuorBECgMN8b497y PhgAn3zxqHtkzWMG8BdVo/FqzdrYKF6S =wLiP -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Fba/0zbH8Xs+Fj9o--
