https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=211629 Bug ID: 211629 Summary: /etc/rc.subr's login_class default may break some programs Product: Base System Version: CURRENT Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: misc Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: Ultima1252@gmail.com CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org, pi@FreeBSD.org CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Currently, ${name}_login_class var's defaults to the daemon login class and by default, the daemon class resource limit on memory is set to 128M. This maybe an issue for older rc scripts created before FreeBSD 11. Should rc scripts adapt to this new default, or should the default be changed to avoid issues upgrading from 10.3 --> 11? A port affected by this change is audio/teamspeak3-server. I'm not aware of any others currently, however I'm sure more are affected. This is an error message from upgrading from FreeBSD 10.3 --> FreeBSD 11 beta 3 with this port. 2016-08-06 17:07:27.946432|CRITICAL|ServerLibPriv | |Server() DatabaseError out of memory I also tried to change the default value of teamspeak_login_class to default via rc.conf and the rc script itself and still receive this error message upon startup. Is this the correct way to set it? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.help
