PICOBSD should probably define just about everything out, something 
like:

CFLAGS+=-DNOKLDLOAD
CFLAGS+=-DNOINET6
CFLAGS+=-DNONAT
CFLAGS+=-DNOATM
CFLAGS+=-DNOSUID
CFLAGS+=-DHAVE_DES
CFLAGS+=-DNORADIUS
CFLAGS+=-DNOI4B
CFLAGS+=-DNONETGRAPH

(disclaimer: I know nothing about PICOBSD !!!)
