Hello, I have done a fresh install of 4.5 RELEASE and successfully configured the X server, switched resolutions, played some games in X, etc. I installed Gnome from the package supplied on the installation ISO, and am wondering now how to get it started. From some articles I found on the internet, I found a few instructions. I created a "xinitrc" file in the home directory of my non-root user account. I tried a "gnome-session" line in this file as well as a "exec /usr/X11R6/bin/gnome-session" line and neither one seemed to kick off Gnome after a "startx". Any suggestions? Thanks.
