>Description:
I first started with 6.1 release i386

the machine is a 64 bit AMD Opteron with support for both 32 bit and 64 bit Operating system.

I use this one

WORKSTATIONS
Sun Ultra 40 Workstation
http://www.sun.com/products-n-solutions/hardware/docs/Workstation_Products/Workstations/ultra_40/index.html

It showd me IIRC 3 NIC connectors,
I used a router with pppoe connection to an ADSL modem.

I inserted the correct network IP addresses and then it reported some strange error. I have now wiped it off and installed Fedora, but I'll try again,
>How-To-Repeat:
on a sun ultra 40 with this NIC

"nvidia ck8-04 Gigabit Ethernet"

nVidia Corporation CK804 Ethernet Controller (rev a3)

the 32 bit version of 6.1 release for i386 FreeBSD will install,
but complaints when hostname DNS and IP addresses are given.

It could be possible to use an USB connection with FreeBSD PPPoE tunnel,
if the modem has this input,

I have a Cellpipe Modem with RJ45 and USB input,
But I have no USB driver for this modem.
Except Windows 32 bit USB driver,
