You can't connect a HVD (High Voltage Differential) drive to a non-HVD card. The 29160 doesn't do HVD, but rather LVD. I'd suggest getting a LVD model instead. From their specs, they support: "LVD, Ultra 2 SCSI, HVD, Ultra SCSI" So I'd get the Ultra 2 model (80MB/sec interface rate). That will work fine with the 29160. Otherwise you'll need to find an Adaptec 2944 (that's a HVD board) somewhere. > Any problems with FreeBSD 4.6 and the Quantum SDLT drive? > Is it recommended to upgrade to 4.7 or it should be OK with 4.6? > > Any ideas, recommendations and etc. are welcome! > > > I'm sorry for asking [OT] questions here, but I've always had good > response from this list :-) > > Thanks in advance! > > Miro > > =================================================================== > P.S.
