I basically just followed the instructions and set the driver to "nvidia" without touching the rest of my X config. I am running -stable from a week or so ago with a TNT2 M64 on a plain old desktop. X seems a lot faster, but I don't think that xterm's and a web browser are any way to test this. :) Everything does seem a lot "smoother", however. Now, if only winex would compile. :) If it's relevant, here is the line from dmesg: nvidia0: <RIVA TNT2 Model 64> mem 0xe2000000-0xe3ffffff,0xe0000000-0xe0ffffff irq 11 at device 0.0 on pci1 And from 'pciconf -v -l': nvidia0@pci1:0:0: class=0x030000 card=0x00000000 chip=0x002d10de rev=0x15 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Nvidia Corporation' device = 'NV5 TNT2 Model 64 / TNT2 Model 64 Pro' class = display subclass = VGA To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
