I also want to point out to all those people going "Aiee!" over the idea of a compiler upgrade during a release candidate period that David and I really, honestly haven't totally lost our minds here, we just did a risk/reward assessment and it honestly came up in favor of the upgrade. This stuff has been tested in -stable by multiple individuals and if there's even the slightest whiff of trouble as a result of these changes, they'll go straight out again.
