>Description:
I get this messages when I see that machine hangs there:

Feb 19 02:02:39 arc18 /kernel: ad2: READ command timeout - resetting
Feb 19 02:02:39 arc18 /kernel: ata1: resetting devices
>How-To-Repeat:

100% repeatable, and happens on around 20 out of 200 FreeBSD boxed with Version 4.1 and 4.1.1.

>Fix:
Don't know how to fix it.

When the system hangs, no keyboard reponses. The only solution left is to recycle the power.

Does 4.2 or the future 4.3 version fix this problem?
