What version of pkg are you running? Next time provide the version of pkg that you are running, when reporting a problem. With pkg 1.3.7, I don't get that crash. I get this: # pkg upgrade postgresql90-client-9.0.17 postgresql90-contrib-9.0.16 Updating FreeBSD repository catalogue... FreeBSD repository is up-to-date. All repositories are up-to-date. pkg: postgresql90-client-9.0.17 is not installed, therefore upgrade is impossible pkg: No packages available to upgrade matching 'postgresql90-client-9.0.17' have been found in the repositories # -- Craig
