hi, just go the 2.2.1 cd, and tried to updrade (from 2.1.7) all seemed good, but now i cant see my CD drive... in 2.1.7 it looked for wcd0 ... found it, and all is well.. in 2.2.1 it doesn't even look for wcd0 ... in /usr/src/sys/i386/conf (which was not overwritten during the upgrade ... should this worry me ?) i have the line device wcd0 # IDE CD-ROM i rebuilt the kernel (/usr/sbin/config MYTEST) and then make, make install ... all without incident but i still have no cd ! any ideas ? thanks, freeBSD is great ! ps .. when i try to run a linux-elf binary i get: ELF interpreter /compat/linux/lib/ld-linux.so.1 not found but i have no /compat ... where would that live ? -- Doug Epps -- Tippett Studio 510 649 9711 (voice) 510 649 9399 (fax) dougie@tippett.com
