hi, I am trying to install FreeBSD 3.3 on an old Compaq Proliant 1000. It's an EISA architecture with NCR53c610 scsi chip one EISA slot 8(I suspect) with attached MatCD and a coupple of hot-swappable HDs. I found FreeBSD couldn't detect the EISA scsi controller. Does it mean FreeBSD doesn't support this type of machine. Regards, Thanks for your time. Billy PS. I am novice to FreeBSD. But I am very familiar with Linux. It doesn't support EISA scsi. That is why I buy these FreeBSD CDs from CDROM.COM. ___________________________________________________________________ To get your own FREE ZDNet onebox - FREE voicemail, email, and fax, all in one place - sign up today at http://www.zdnetonebox.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
