We've been using ELF Tool Chain's elfcopy as objcopy/strip since FreeBSD 11=
. An
option existed to revert to GNU objcopy/strip (WITHOUT_ELFCOPY_AS_OBJCOPY) =
but
it was removed in r306649. So if this started in spring/summer 2018 then it
appears to be an ELF Tool Chain regression.
