I've seen that because in my config.h there is #define CONFIG_ZLIB_DECODER 1 #define ENABLE_ZLIB_DECODER 1 and yours contained #define CONFIG_]LIB_DECODER 1 #define ENABLE_]LIB_DECODER 1 All "z" got replaced by "]" instead of "Z" which seems to be a weirdness of locales and "tr". The mythtv developers have already found and fixed that in trunk so i have taken that few lines and created a patch for that issue. Thanks for your kind help to track this one down, that was really an interesting one! -- Bernhard Froehlich http://www.bluelife.at/ [-- Attachment #2 --] --- configure.orig 2008-11-10 22:44:26.000000000 +0100 +++ configure 2008-11-10 22:45:16.000000000 +0100 @@ -274,13 +274,13 @@ exit 1 } -# "tr '[a-z]' '[A-Z]'" is a workaround for Solaris tr not grokking "tr a-z A-Z" +# Avoid locale weirdness, besides we really just want to translate ASCII. toupper(){ - echo "$@" | tr '[a-z]' '[A-Z]' + echo "$@" | tr abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ } tolower(){ - echo "$@" | tr '[A-Z]' '[a-z]' + echo "$@" | tr ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz } set_all(){home | help
