Are there relevant (for powerpc64 users) versions of FreeBSD where this is really still necessary? The other part is # Work-around for bug in tree-vect-loop.c CFLAGS+= -mno-altivec which is not quite sufficient to describe/document the actual issue. Is there an (upstream?) bug report to refer to?
