I went ahead a moved the hard drive from the unaffected system to the affected
system and upon booting I got some console spam, something to the effect of
"loading 8 sectors from device ada0 to 0x77fe5" but once the kernel loads it
goes away, and boots fine. Is int13 being used to read from devices this early
in boot or is FreeBSD using that other fancy one that I could never get to
work?
