Greetings, Yes, you can. In fact, I tar up the whole directory, /usr/local/jdk1.2.2 and copy this to other machines that requires the JDK. This saves having to go thru the whole tedious process. But, IIRC, you are not allowed to put it up for others to download it. Part of the Sun's license.
