No problem for me.

.. enable it in /etc/pam.conf:
login   auth    sufficient      pam_opie.so     no_warn

.. initialize the key with opiepasswd

.. use telnet -K to prevent automatic (SRA) login

(Well, my system is probably one month old.  If something has been
broken afterwards, forget the above.)
