Take your pick: 1) Encouraging the use of a program in a way that arguably
violates the BSD spirit, or 2) Doing your perceived duty as a porter to
give FreeBSD users total choice over what programs they run.

Maybe you should add: 3) Making a political decision not to piss-off
potential FreeBSD supporters in the form of Matlab developers, as an easy
way out.  :)
