By the way... is it really necessary that the installworld process
be done from a writable /usr/src and /usr/obj ?

I'd really like to be able to export these filesystems as read-only. It
seems like an unnecesary security risk to have to give all of my servers
write access to the master OS install image on my build server.

Last time I briefly looked into this it seemed as though during
installworld a few files got compiled, though it seemed like minor stuff.

Is there an option to make the installworld process only _read_ from
/usr/src and /usr/obj? If not, would this be fairly easy to add, or would
it require to much reworking?

Thanks,

Charles
