It takes forever. Several people have reported the same problem in the lists. In my case, if I deselect the network card (which was working under 3.0), the booting goes on. Some people reported a workaround by changing address of the card, or configuring "eisa 12" in CLI mode. That didn't work in my case. >How-To-Repeat: The problem happens ALWAYS in my Aptiva 166 with NE2000 compatible card. On release 3.0 I could go out of the "probing" state by typing CONTROL-C and continuing with installation.
