Welcome to the world of 2.2-stable.  This one is already fixed in
-current.  Last time I asked Bruce, he said there are a bunch of other 
files that needs to be merged.

 * Are there other gotcha's that I'm setting myself up for by not having
 * my sources in /usr/src?

Many, many more.  The -I/sys stuff is getting fixed in -current now,
it seems though.
