We still experienced problems with the 2940UW in a 2.2.2 system that
was being used as a news server. We ended up going with a different
SCSI card (a BusLogic, if memory serves correctly). I do not know if
the Adaptec driver behaves any better in 2.2.5.

Please note that there were conflicting reports on this issue, with
some people saying 2.2.2 + 2940UW on an innd-based news server worked
fine, while others were apparently seeing problems with SCSI resets
and system lockups. YMMV.
