Thanks Mark and Alan for your valuable feedback and recommendations.
md disks work fine for this purpose.
Having test_suites.FreeBSD.disks in both kyua file and command line invocation helped.

I'm pretty sure md disks will work fine for this purpose.

One can also specify this in the kyua command-line invocation:

  $ kyua -v test_suites.FreeBSD.disks='/dev/vtbd1 /dev/vtbd2' test
