https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=229768 Bug ID: 229768 Summary: 'pkg info' man page needs to say it displays info about _installed_ packages Product: Documentation Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Manual Pages Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: msi@malbolge.net CC: doc@FreeBSD.org The manual page for 'pkg info' should clearly state that 'pkg info' displays information about installed packages only. The NAME section currently just says: "pkg info – display information for packages". The DESCRIPTION reads: "pkg info is used for displaying information for packages". And while we're at it, I think it should rather be "information _about_ packages". Thanks, msi -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
