The problem can be fixed by using `#ifdef __OPTIMIZE__' to avoid using inbc and outbc when the kernel is compiled without -O. It isn't really valid to use the "i" constraint for args to (inline) functions (function args are never constants) but it somehow works with -O. The problem can be fixed properly by using macros for everything but macros are ugly. Bruce
