I need to find inexpensive access for a very small ISP, to 56 K lines. The ISP has an aging Livingston router, one that doesn't support any plug-in modules, so forget any modules from Livingston. Is there some kinda of system that might get 56 K modems to talk directly to Ethernet, and still be cheapo? If this is a multithousand buck answer, it's not gooing to be really practical, so please don't make gold plated suggestions without awfully good reasons behind it (better than just enhanced reliability). ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Chuck Robey | Interests include any kind of voice or data chuckr@picnic.mat.net | communications topic, C programming, and Unix. 213 Lakeside Drive Apt T-1 | Greenbelt, MD 20770 | I run picnic (FreeBSD-current) (301) 220-2114 | and jaunt (Solaris7). ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-isp" in the body of the message
