Ill check into it. I tried X -configure after your previous email, and it first printed out : XFree86 Version 4.1.0 / X Window System etc etc Server Layout "Simple Layout" Screen "Screen 1" (0) Monitor "Sony LCD" Device "ATI Rage Mobility M1" Input Device "Mouse1" Input Device "Keyboard1" XKB: rules: "xfree86" XKB: model: "pc102" XKB: layout: "gb" then the screen went blank (black).
