I don't have any plans to target IBM's boxes at this point.  There are other
people who may have plans in this direction however.

Every new platform requires new drivers. =)

No.  Linux has a different driver model to us.  We can use their drivers to
obtain information about how to write a FreeBSD driver but we can't use the
code directly.
