hmmm I upgade make world today to 4.1.1.

new size from 4.1.1 is
bash$ ls -l /usr/bin/telnet
-r-xr-xr-x  1 root  wheel  97788 Sep 26 23:33 /usr/bin/telnet

now I copy old telnet from BSD 4.0 and works good

old telnet size is:
bash$ ls -l /usr/bin/telnet
-r-xr-xr-x  1 root  wheel  104964 Jul 28 15:14 /usr/bin/telnet
