Currently I get around this new limitation (new because, prior to pkgbase
custom releases with custom kernels built, and booted fine), by having a
function in ${custom}-release.conf that just copies the ${custom} kernel over
GENERIC, and replace the ident line with "ident GENERIC". I have not tested
this with an actually system yet, these builds are only used to create
pourdiere jails. Once those jails have finished building pkgs, I will see if
this method of mine works/boots.

I noticed review DD54282, however, it somewhere out of date now, and I was
unable to get a functioning build from it.
