Subject:   Setting Keyboard LED's in X

I've been trying to figure out how exactly too set the number key too 
"on" when starting X too no avail.

I've used "xset led 5" and "xset -led 5" in both my startkde script and 
my .xinitrc, (as per xkbvleds) .

Has someone figured this pericular led thingy out? Would be most 
gratefull for some incite into this, so i can stop yanking my hair out.
