Possibly I didn't stay long enough, but one problem I have with just about all *TeX-formatted documents is that they shout ``look, I was formatted with TeX''. It combines the obfuscation of WYSIWYG with the complexity of TeX. I agree entirely with DES: it's a waste of time.
