I created the following startup script in my /usr/local/etc/rc.d
directory. Hope this helps!
#!/bin/sh
case "$1" in
start)
/usr/local/sbin/pure-config.pl
/usr/local/etc/pure-ftpd.conf > /dev/null && echo -n ' pure-ftpd'
;;
stop)
killall pure-ftpd
;;
restart)
$0 stop
$0 start
