The following reply was made to PR misc/60512; it has been noted by GNATS. From: "Benny" <mail1@nathalie.sweetfactory.org> To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org, evenson@panix.com Cc: Subject: Re: misc/60512: launching X freezes CURRENT Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2004 14:13:25 +0100 Hello, seems as I have the same problem. If I'm trying to start X, the system freezes. Even pings are not responded. Not always but every fourth time or so. I tried to remove those modules from XF86Config, which are named in a former posting(glx, dri, record), but it didn't help. So I disabled ACPI and it worked. No freezes anymore. Only wanted to mention this... with best regards, --- benny
