In the ports tree I cannot see anything making it a symlink. When I install the port: # file /usr/local/share/nls/en_US.US-ASCII /usr/local/share/nls/en_US.US-ASCII: directory That said when I look at the port itself and its plist. there is nothing un= der=20 /usr/local/share/nls/C at all so pkg will not remove it.
