https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=261565 Bug ID: 261565 Summary: [tcpdump] [divert] Permit tcpdump to use a divert(4) socket as a packet source Product: Base System Version: Unspecified Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: bin Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: bsdpr@phoe.frmug.org This is not a bug report but a feature request. It would be extremely handy if tcpdump(1) could be able to use a divert(4) socket as a packet source. It could even be handier if several of such sockets could be used at the same time. For multi-socket operation, the port of the source socket should be part of the dissection output. The intended use is to help troubleshoot a defective ipfw ruleset live without deferring through the ipfwpcap(8) intermediate step. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.help
