I'd use the make way, but it doesn't seem to work on 4.1-STABLE system, or, the documentation lags behind. The makefile doesn't have all the targets, and it's unclear what it builds. Now, about your changes: I believe that I will need -current for testing it, since it uses the src tree, which I don't have. However, if the changes could be easily MFCed I'm ready to give it a try.
