Hello all,

I only got a 2.1GB internal harddrive, it will be nice if I can add a
external hd to my laptop (and it should work with FreeBSD). There are 3
possible convertors I found online. pccard -> scsi; pccard -> IDE;
parallel -> scsi. I think the 3rd is not a good idea because of the poor
speed of parallel port. I am interested in buying a pccard to scsi
convertor and a external scsi harddrive. Have anyone done so? Any
suggestion is welcome!
My laptop is a Acer 392c, 2 Texas PCI cardbus controller. I know little
about IDE, my harddrive and CD-ROM all use IDE controller, could this be
a problem? I mean, is there IDE resource available for another HD?
Thanks.

Jay Peng
