That message suggestes that you weren't in fact performing an
FTP installation.  It looks like you were actually trying
to install of floppies.  This course of action is all but
hopeless, and an FTP installation is almost certainly 
what you actually wanted.

When asked to select the installation mediamedium, be sure
to select FTP.  You should be prompted for network
configuration details and an FTP site from which
to install.
