I have noticed a similar problem in the archives, but from a lot earlier this year. I was wondering if this had been remedied at all. Basically, I have a Compaq DL380 G2, which supposedly has 2 i82559 ethernet controllers on board. They are detected, but I am unable to place them in full duplex mode. I am using this command: ifconfig fxp0 media 100baseTX mediatype full-duplex I get the response: ifconfig: mediatype: bad value The previous issue, back in may, seems to have been related possibly to onboard ahc controller as well as the integrated lan. I do not have that configuration - this board has the Compaq SmartArray 5i controller (ciss driver) onboard. I have no idea what board this actually is (probably Compaq proprietary), but it uses a current ServerWorks chipset. Any ideas would be appreciated, it would be great if you could respond directly to me since I am not actually subscribed to the list anymore. -Will _________________________________________ Will Saxon Systems Programmer - Network Services University of Florida Division of Housing Email: wills@housing.ufl.edu Phone: (352) 392-2171 x148 Fax: (352) 392-6819 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
