Hm, hm. Well, normally, one would use truss or ktrace, since strace isn't part of the base system. Also, are you sure you're not simply running out of system resources, like forkbombing or something? Tried the same thing with a restricted user? I couldn't reproduce it over here, on a single CPU 5.2.1 box.home | help
