I'll also point out that the "GUI toolkits" have all been largely unsuccessful (though I haven't released my "yet another gui tool" yet -- think that one's the charm?). Enough that the fundamental concept needs to be questioned somewhat before someone unleashes another one on an unsuspecting (and largely disinterested) world. My opinion, anyway...
