I have device.hints in /tftpboot/boot/device.hints. Checking the ngrep logs, it does not seem to be loaded. The kernel is the kernel from the kern?.flp files in ftp.freebsd.org:/pub/FreeBSD/releases/<arch>/<release>/floppies. > If it does, swapping hint.sio.0 and hint.sio.1 might be worth a try. Swap com1 and com2, why? I've got both the display and com1 (virtual serial port) output visible already. By the way: I found out I have to press enter to continue the output from show. Here it is completely: FreeBSD/i386 bootstrap loader, Revision 1.1 (root@cache12.finn.no, Tue Jan 8 14:54:28 CET 2008) pxe_open: server addr: 192.168.122.1 pxe_open: server path: /tftpboot pxe_open: gateway ip: 192.168.122.1 Loading Kernel... /kernel text=0x74ab88 data=0xf28d8+0x721+0x8+0x93b3f] Loading mfsroot... booting... I don't get any more data from ngrep after getting to the end of show's data. Bye, -- Anders.
