Hi, I've just been starting to use the ucom drive (with uplcom for USB<->RS232) and have had a few system crashes. It seems to be when the control lines are changed (ie; losing carrier, etc) it crash the system. I haven't caught the kernal at it yet (just seen the results...). I was wondering if anyone else has had these problems. I'm using 4.7RC1 from a couple of days ago on a test box. I'm trying to use multiple USB<->serial converters for a dozen low speed (~9600) ports, cheaper and easier to set up than using dedicated multi-port serial cards. I've also been using them to drive the modem and usually they are fine but every now & then 'splat'.
